Chile's photovoltaic cumulative scale of 4.6 million kw
Chile's national Electric Company (ENEL) will buy green electricity from the Clean Energy Power Supply company in a new tender issued by the country's energy regulator CNE, industry media Pv Magazine reported.
The tender is expected to start in 2027 and enEL will purchase a total of 5.25 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy power from the company over the next 15 years. Starting April 1, CNE will conduct a consultation exercise and exchange views with prospective bidders, and the final bidding results are expected to be announced in late July or early August.
It is understood that in recent years, Chile has accelerated the development, construction and application of renewable energy power projects. In the renewable power Tender announced in August 2021, Chile signed renewable power contracts of up to 100 million kilowatt-hours, with a minimum transaction price of about 0.01332 US dollars per kilowatt-hour.
