Germany has brought forward its goal of generating 100 percent of its electricity from renewable sources by 15 years to 2035
Germany plans to accelerate the expansion of wind and solar infrastructure to reach its target of 100 per cent renewable energy by 15 years (to 2035), according to a draft of pending legislation presented by the economy ministry on Monday, the Associated Press reported.
Onshore wind capacity will increase from 3 gigawatts this year to 10 gigawatts in 2027, and solar capacity will increase from 7 gigawatts this year to 20 gigawatts in 2028.
Offshore wind facilities are also a key part of the plan, with Germany expecting its generating capacity to rise from 30 gigawatts in 2030 to 70 gigawatts by 2045.(News from guangfu.bjx)
