Germany launches new measures to support solar energy
The bill contains significant improvements to the C&I sector. In the future, these installations will be eligible for a feed-in tariff of €0.015 ($0.016) per kWh above current levels.
It will also be easier for people to deploy photovoltaic balcony systems and build energy communities. In addition, the new bill also increases the bidding limit for large-scale solar projects from 20 MW to 50 MW.
The new rules do not include a "flexibility bonus" that some coalition parties have called for to support domestic value chains. The proposed bonuses include additional incentives for solar project developers that use European-made PV modules.
