Thailand will adjust its support policy for residential photovoltaic power generation to encourage households to install photovoltaic systems
The Thai Ministry of Energy adjusted the support policy for civilian photovoltaic power generation system to promote the development of the national clean energy strategy while increasing the weight of photovoltaic power generation system installed in households, so as to realize the spontaneous self-use of surplus electricity online.
To better encourage and support, the Energy Ministry is considering raising the current grid connection price for residential pv systems to 2-2.20 baht/KWH from the current 1.68 baht/KWH. Photovoltaic power generation, especially household photovoltaic power generation, is an important supplement to the national energy security strategy.
