the United States will install 33 GW of new photovoltaic capacity in 2023.
A report by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the research firm Wood Mackenzie estimates that the United States will install 33 GW of new photovoltaic capacity in 2023.
Going forward, the solar industry is expected to be affected by the economic downturn in the short term, but the outlook remains bright. The report predicts that the U.S. solar industry will grow at an average annual rate of 14% over the next five years.
The report states that by 2028, U.S. solar power generation is expected to reach 377 GW, enough to power more than 65 million households; by 2050, solar energy is expected to become the largest source of electricity for the U.S. grid.
